[Our Nova Pt. 1]

Excellent and uplifting!

Hello,

There really isn't anything wrong with this piece.
All the sounds work really well, and the music flows together in a very organic way.

I guess if I needed to take an issue with this it would be the length, it's really long,
and I feel because of this the track does feel like it repeats itself a little.

Still it's not a bad song, and I certainly feel the vibe you were going for,
so overall I think you succeeded in the mood you were trying to invoke.

Yea, I noticed the song was pretty lengthy as well, and I've been trying my best to shorten my songs (I made great progress with part two). I'm glad I met the goals of this song.

Super tired...

Hello,

I'm exhausted so I'm gonna make this review short, but sweet.
I like the eerie feel the song starts out with, I also like the way it picks up the pace quickly, yet still in a way that feels organic, and natural.

However I feel the spoken lyrics hurt this. I must say however it's a very fun track, and I dig all the quixotic sound that you've integrated.

Could be a little more polished, but overall quite good.

Yes, the spoken lyrics do kind of get in too much I noticed. When I played this song live, I limited the words, and I noticed it sounded sweeter. And this is my first DJ track, and your input has really helped for future projects.
Yea, I liked the sounds as well, they kinda got too much, but they do sound well. Next time, I'm going to use less tracks.

[Cobra]

Actually reminds me of "Cobra"

The over the top B-movie action vibe, really makes me think of the movie "Cobra" starring "Sylvester S", the track feels like a poor mans metal gear theme.

I really got a kick out of this, as it was executed really well in terms of pacing, and it never got boring.

The thing that would have made this perfect would have been the inclusion of dynamic sounds.

I really like the nice "crystal" sounding beats you have going there, I don't know why but the music made me visualize ice.

Anyway it's kinda different which is always good, I liked the sounds you choose to make this, it does run a little long though...

Thanks man! Yea, I loved the whole ice-like sequence, especially how the kicks just added a whole bunch of flavor to them. I was visualizing either ice, stars, basketball, Reading Rainbow, or a bunch of children playing (hehehe, don't ask about the last three=P=P). Yea, the whole sounds just all flowed together so well, I was pretty amazed while making this track.

[Strangled - to be the sea]

A disjointed melody...

Hello,

I certainly felt some aspects of the aquatic, however it felt a little too disjointed to carry the feeling throughout the piece.

The story you included does help add some context to the submission,
that said if the plot wasn't explained, I feel most people wouldn't be as sympathetic to the way the music unfolds.

I suppose it's not bad, but it could be better.

Well its quite logical that the story is an important facet, afterall the music was made as a atmospheric theme on the story, comparable to a moviescore if it were one.

This music seems like it would be fitting for a significant event in a story, not too much is going on, and the music seems serious...

I usually dislike repetitive music, however in this case it seems natural for the audio to do so, the light beats add a elegant touch to the submission.

Lacking innovation.

I must say this really felt like something I've listened to many times before,
it's not that it was bad, but it did feel boring. The length is another issue I have with this piece as it felt about 1:30 sec too long. It could have also used some dynamic sounds to spice things up a bit.

I feel I need to reiterate the performance of music wasn't bad, but when everyone is doing the same thing it gets monotonous to listen to something that's very similar to the other submissions in the same genre.

I will say one thing in your defense, at 0:52 sec you did have a moment of chaotic energy that I did like... I just wish the whole song could have kept that kind of energy.

Yeah, it is a rather generic song. Not much life or anything, I should probably do something about that, but hey, remixing and adding more melodies isn't very easy, especially if you're terribly uninspired.

A solemn sounding march...

Hello,

I like that this you decided to go for a more low key approach to the music,
as opposed to the more common "epic" sounding march themes others have done.

Unfortunately I feel that is also the submissions main flaw, It's too hard too hear, I think you should have made it a bit louder, and possibly included some dynamic sounds.

That said I do like the overall feel of the music, it seems a tragic, serious, and "heavy", well done!

Has a bit of a black exploitation feel to it.

Very cool, I really like the jazzy feel to it, it also feels kind of like a noir piece near the end.

The best thing about this submission is the eclectic mix of instruments added a lot of energy to the music, and the length was perfect.

My sole critique would be it could use some dynamic sounds, aside from that it was really cool.

Anyway I think it's quite unique, you should feel proud!

I really dig the energetic tone of the music, the vocals were well done, the lyrics were not bad either, although I do feel they were super generic.

Adding dynamic sounds would made this cooler, regardless it was still
