True, but don't forget that there are people who would freely abuse that aspect of Newgrounds and inane flame the crap out of every submission they find. You know what I'm talking about, the one worded review that consists of a one word insult.

Although that sort of thing isn't rampant in the Flash and Audio portal, it is easy to do in the Art portal; I've still yet to see any of Jigsaw80Puppets reviews [implying that most, if not all his art reviews are like that] removed.

Don't be fooled, that circle jerk mentality is the same reason why I hate Rtil. This community is what made him and he basically took a shit on everybody within the community and took off for deviant art.

But the thing is this; our community isn't perfect either. Think about it, you can't post what's referred to as "perv bait" for no other reason that it would become popular for it's graphic content, artistic or not.

I am both newgrounds and deviantart artist, but I think you are right :)

Some of the submission in deviantart are just ... like you said above.
While in Newgrounds, we can see many talents and pageviews isn't everything in Newgrounds.

I agree that deviantART is a giant hugbox, although I use both dA and the Art Portal. DeviantART just lets me dump shit like scetches and whatnot. I'm not really there for the non-existent community, but rather for the small amount of people I know over there. Being on dA doesn't mean you have to put up with sparkledogs 24/7 if you don't want to.

Not only is DA censored and delusional, but they don't have a system that filters out the crap and highlights the awesome. The quality of an artists work is represented by how many page views they've been able to buy, as opposed to a score assigned by the community.

That's why my deviant art only has 5000 page views, and <a href="http://mario2-0.deviantart.com/">http://mario2-0.deviantart.com/</a> has 7000.

About the censorship: They're trying to broaden their audience, and yes, while artistic nudes and things like that are allowed, no pornographic material is allowed. DeviantART is more awesome than Newgrounds for several reasons:
1) Colleges sometimes go there, and see potential students to recruit.
2) The community is friendlier and more open to criticism.
3) The art quality is more diverse than on Newgrounds.
4) They still allow flash movies and flash games.
5) There are not as many flamers.
6) It's open to all skill levels, ages, etc.
7) Newgrounds IS full of flamers, trolls, etc.
Overall, DA beats Newgrounds by a ton. So, suck on that for a while and come back to me with how Newgrounds could POTENTIALLY beat DA.

Add on: Not saying DeviantART is perfect by any means, but I would much rather be surrounded by friendlier people than a bunch of butt hurt morons like the rest of Newgrounds. You guys are vicious, and I feel like I'm suffocating here, because all you do is take advantage of the review system to try and insult me. I would respect Newgrounds a lot more, if you encouraged me to do better without the insults.

Fuck I agree. And you should see the site! Some people poked fun at the people who run the site and the CEO is butthurt. It's friggin' hilarious! I hate the censorship and if you don't draw FUCKING KAWAII DESU NE cookie cutter anime styled art....well you're fucked. I do give the site credit for helping me improve, but it doesn't make up for censorship and shit. I considered leaving, but people pay me shit their for art there.
